by Mary for everyone

The Pink Artist Project is the brainchild of Monica Magness.  She's gathering up a ton of these 2 inch artist-original fabric art squares and putting them all on a bead doll to auction off for breast cancer research. I decided to go with a decidedly New York theme for my submissions - one of the Statue of Liberty, one of taxis, one of traffic near the Brooklyn Bridge (in the 1920's of course) and the last of the Woolworth building.  All in pink and all hopefully in the mail tomorrow morning!

These are dedicated to my own mother - a survivor.  I wanted to actually try a series of pieces that say 'your momma wears falsies' but I couldn't fit the words onto 2 inches.  My momma wears falsies - my momma is my hero.  I'll have to work on that one...
